THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

The Twelve Days of Christmas - The Mystery and the Meaning, a short work of non fiction written by Thomas Bernard, seeks to explain the origins of the popular but seemingly illogical partridge-based Christmas song. For example "in a pear tree" is likely a phonetic interpretation in English of the French word for partridge, une perdrix. For those desiring a more thorough elucidation of this topic, the book is available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and other retailers.

On July 17 I installed two paintings at the Hearst tower on 6th Street in Charlotte. They can be viewed in display windows across from the library. I'll be switching the pieces out every two months through the end of the year. For more images click here.

The Creative Art Exchange and The Children's Arts Project host the Art in Hand inaugural event Saturday, May 16, featuring live music, drinks and food and all 52 cards plus jokers all lined up in order. CHOICE ART

I'm happy to be participating in the second annual Choice Art silent auction, sponsored by Planned Parenthood Young Advocates of Charlotte, Friday, April 24th at Center of the Earth Gallery in NODA. Tickets for the event are $12 and include heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine/beer. Proceeds from the event will benefit Planned Parenthood Health Systems’ prevention services in Charlotte.
Planned Parenthood Young Advocates of Charlotte invite artists to submit work for the second annual Choice Art auction. Deadline for submission is April 17th. All forms and mediums of visual art are welcomed.
